Dr Mari E. Mulyani

Dr Mari E. Mulyani received her Doctor of Philosophy (D. Phil) in environmental science and climate policy from the University of Oxford. Prior to Oxford Mari graduated 'cum laude' from Gadjah University in Indonesia in 1995 in International Relations, and in 2009 from the University of with a Masters Degree in the Environmental Sciences, also 'cum laude'. Mari co-authored two on 'Global Climate Change' with Professor Sutamihardja (former Vice Chairman of the Panel on Climate Change in 1997-2007). She is a lecturer at the University of Post graduate Study of Environmental Science, where she initiated and manages an Ambassador Lecture Series' on the subject of Climate Change and Environmental Issues. Mari also and runs a module on 'ASEAN Environments' for the Masters course at Oxford University's of Geography and the Environment. Before her academic life Mari held executive responsibility two companies in Indonesia, the first a leading conglomerate from the private sector and the a German company with extensive international operations where she was an Executive Director ten years. She has also worked as a reporter and anchor with a radio station, a host at a television series, and was retained by BBC World to assist their senior journalists covering the Aceh Tsunami in 2004. She lives between Jakarta and Oxford and is a passionate supporter of opera and music generally.
